What is HSM?

HSM is a teaching ministry of Harvest Rock Church that exists to equip God’s people (Eph 4:11-16) through offering free courses.

WHAT IS THE MISSION OF HSM?

Harvest School of Ministry (HSM), a biblically-based equipping center at Harvest Rock Church, enables students to step into their callings by providing everything from foundational courses to activation in the supernatural. The goal of HSM is to see all students fulfill their destinies as Christ-followers who manifest radical love and obedience, spiritual maturity, biblical wisdom, relational wholeness, godly character, and service in the power of the Holy Spirit.

WHY HSM?

  • All HSM classes are free!
  • God calls every believer to be a life-long learner to come into maturity, to be equipped for ministry, and to continue to bear good fruit. 
  • HSM provides the opportunity to learn from gifted teachers and other ministers (apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors) by taking courses of their choice. 
  • HSM courses involve not only the communication of information, but also impartation and empowerment.
  • HSM students can obtain signs of recognition for their progress:  
    • Certificates: for completing a required number of courses in any of the 7 tracks
    • Credit toward a degree: for students registered with Wagner Leadership Institute Pasadena (WLIP)
    • An HSM Diploma: for completing the HSM Diploma Program (see below)

WHAT IS THE HSM DIPLOMA PROGRAM?

Participants in this program will be guided through a series of required courses in each of the seven tracks over a period of 2 or 3 years. The goal of the program is to equip students to minister and lead others in the area of their primary gifting and calling. Participants in this program can expect to receive discipleship and ministry opportunities under the guidance of HSM teachers and other HRC leaders.

WHO RUNS HSM?

  • Drs. Todd Pokrifka and Junia Pokrifka direct HSM under Pastor Karl Malouff and Senior Pastor Che Ahn. 
  • HSM teachers, who play an active role in leading HSM, are well-qualified, gifted and experienced teachers and ministers, including several who have their own national and international ministries.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL HSM TAKE PLACE?

HSM currently takes place at two times and places:

  • Sunday classes take place at the Student Center on the HRC Ambassador campus (130 Saint John Street, Pasadena) on Sundays 9:00-10:15 AM. 
  • Saturday classes take place in the Zwemer Building, Room U5 (1610 Elizabeth Street, Pasadena). Specific class times vary for different Saturday classes.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED AND FIND OUT MORE?

  • To attend an HSM class, simply show up!  There is no enrollment or registration.
  • You can find out more information about HSM through three sources: the HSM webpage, the HSM information table, and the HSM Director.

  • To pick up flyers about the current and upcoming HSM classes
  • To talk to an HSM representative
