We have a great class coming up with Pastor Erik Tammaru called, “Church Planting, Cross-cultural Missions and Evangelism”. He has started several churches and is presently starting one in Maryland named “The River Church”. He will be able to share on the methods and challenges he has used and is using to start this new work of God. This course will provide a unique perspective as we will be learning from someone who is actively doing what he is teaching. This will be a great course for anyone who may become a missionary or for anyone who may someday help start a church. This course speaks to the very heart of the Great Commission.:
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [19] Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
This will be the last live course for 2006. In January 2007 we will have the WLIP approved Prophetic Guidance conference at the Ambassador Auditorium. This conference is approved by WLIP for 4 LIVE Training Units. All you need to do is write a 2-4 page evaluation and send it in with your tuition payment. Under the new WLIP policy you can deduct up to 50% of your tuition for material costs which includes conference fees. The next live course in Pasadena will be in February 2007 and I will have more on that in the coming weeks. In March 2007 (rescheduled) Pastor Che Ahn will be teaching on evangelism from his new book “Fire Evangelism”. This is the life message of Pastor Che and you won't want to miss this one. We have other great instructors for 2007 and I will be sharing more on this later.
This season is a great opportunity to catch-up on some of your unfinished evaluation papers or do some Home Based study courses. It is also a great time to check out some of the other WLI regional schools and perhaps do some of their Home Based study courses. Your diploma program requires only 50% live training units and that leaves up to 50% of your diploma program that can be completed by doing Home Based study. Of course you can do all live training units if you elect to do so. Courses provided by other WLI regional schools are pre-approved by WLIP for training units so check them out.
WLI Pasadena's first graduation class will take place August 2007 so keep up the great work and set your goal to complete your present diploma program by next August and be part of WLIP history. |
